Why God must save you, why you can't save yourself.

Have you ever wondered why God must save you? And why you can’t save yourself? This is what this bible study is all about. Here below are the reasons why God has to save you the sinner.

God has to save you because…

1. We have no righteousness of our own.

Romans 3:10 (KJV)

As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:

Romans 3:23 (KJV)

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Isaiah 64:6 (NLT)

We are all infected and impure with sin. When we display our righteous deeds, they are nothing but filthy rags. Like autumn leaves, we wither and fall, and our sins sweep us away like the wind.

Isaiah 64:6 (KJV)

But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

Philippians 3:9 (KJV)

And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:

The bible is clear we have no righteousness of our own (Philippians 3:3, 9) (Luke 18:9-14) (Romans 7:14-23). The bible says all human beings are sinners (Romans 3:23), and it is sin which makes us all impure and unclean before we come to Christ (Isaiah 64:6). The bible says no one is righteous no not one (Romans 3:10) (Psalm 14:2-3). The bible says all our righteousness (all of them) is as filthy rags (Isaiah 64:6). So, because all of this is indeed true this is now why we all need the imputed righteousness of Jesus Christ (Romans 4:11, 22-25) (James 2:23).

So, remember people of the world we desperately need the imputed righteousness of Jesus Christ and this is because we have no righteousness of our own. Again, I say, so the reason why God must save you, the reason why you cannot save yourself from your own sinful condition is because you are a sinner who has no righteousness of your own. The bible tells us the righteousness which is of God is through faith. Meaning God has a righteousness of his own and he reveals it in The Holy bible. God declares sinners to be made right in his sight (this means to be declared righteous) when they believe (place their faith) in Jesus His Son (Acts 13:38-39) (Romans 3:21-31) (Romans 4:3) (Romans 5:1) (Romans 10:10) (Galatians 2:16) (Galatians 3:24). Amazing! What a gracious and loving God we have.

God has to save you because…

2. We are all sinful lawbreakers who are already condemned before we come to the Savior Jesus.

Did you know you were an enemy of God because of your many sins before you come to Christ? Read (Romans 5:10) (Colossians 1:21).

Did you know you were separated from God because of your many sins before you come to Christ? Read (Colossians 1:21) (Ephesians 2:11-13).

Did you know that before you come to Christ you were already condemned before a Holy God and that His wrath abideth over you because of your unbelief in His Son Jesus?

Read (John 3:18,36) (John 8:24) (1 John 5:9-10) (Proverbs 11:4) (Psalm 2:12) (Psalm 7:11) (Romans 1:18) (Romans 2:5, 8-10) (Romans 5:9) (Ephesians 2:1-3) (Ephesians 5:6) (2 Thessalonians 1:7-9) (Revelation 14:10-11) (Revelation 20:15) (Revelation 21:8) (1 Peter 2:7-8).

The bible declares we are all sinful lawbreakers who are already condemned before we come to Christ.

Some may say how are we already condemned before we come to Christ? This simply means we all have already sinned many times against God. And if God were to judge us justly right now in our current state, we would all be found guilty of sin in the courtrooms of heaven and thus would be formerly sentenced to an eternal hell because of our many sins. So right now, in our current state we stand guilty before a Holy God of sin. Because of this we are already condemned (meaning we already guilty of sin) and the wrath of God currently abides over us because of this. Furthermore, we have not yet trusted in the perfect sacrifice of Jesus to save us from the eternal penalty of our sin. Only when we trust in Jesus to save us are, we forgiven by a Holy God. When we trust in Jesus for our salvation our condemnation is removed forever (Romans 8:1). Christ our substitute was condemned for us on our behalf at the cross. When we trust in Jesus the wrath that should have fallen on us for our many sins fell on Christ our Savior at the cross. When we trust in Jesus for our salvation, we are no longer enemies of God but now he calls us friends (John 15:15) (James 2:23). When we trust in Jesus, we are no longer separated from God we are now reconciled to God through faith in Jesus (Romans 5:10) (2 Corinthians 5:18, 20) (Ephesians 2:16) (Colossians 1:19-21) (Romans 3:9-20, 23) (John 3:16-18). So, remember people of the world, the bible says we are enemies of God who are separated from Him before we come to Christ (Romans 5:10) (Hebrews 10:27). So, because all these statements are indeed true this means we are all sinful lawbreakers who are already condemned and are now in need of a divine saving from God. And a sinful lawbreaker who is already condemned, one who is separated from God, cannot save himself from his own sinful condition. Jesus didn’t come into the world to condemn us this is true, but this is because we are already condemned before a Holy God because of our sins and unbelief in Jesus. So, this is what all of this means. Jesus didn’t come into the world to condemn us He came into the world to free us and to save us from our condemnation (John 3:16-18) (John 12:47-48). This is just one of the many reasons Jesus is called The Savior.

God has to save you because…

3. We are lost and are in spiritual darkness before we come to Christ.

To be lost means you do not know where you are nor where you’re going. To be truly lost means you do not know how to get to your intended destination. We were lost and we could not find God nor find our way to our heavenly home. Since we are lost, we now need someone to lead and guide us out of this spiritual darkness and lead us home to our Heavenly Father. God’s way of leading us to himself is through the gospel of Jesus Christ. Through the gospel, God Our Heavenly Father shows us the way home which is through The Person of His Son Jesus. Jesus is also our Good and Great Shepherd who leads us his sheep out of darkness and leads us home to God our Heavenly Father. Read (Ephesians 2:1-3) (2 Corinthians 5:18-20) (John 10:3-28) (Hebrews 13:20) (1 Peter 2:25) (1 Peter 5:4).

John 14:6 (KJV)

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life; no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

John 8:12 (NLT)

[ Jesus, the Light of the World ] Jesus spoke to the people once more and said, “I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life.”

The bible says Let Christ Shine on you (Ephesians 5:14). Before Christ we were in the kingdom of darkness obeying Satan (Ephesians 2:1-3). Now that we believe in Christ, we are in His kingdom of light obeying The eternal Son of God Jesus. The bible says we’ve been transferred from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of light (Which is the kingdom of God’s Dear Son Jesus). Read (Colossians 1:13) (Jonah 4:11) (Luke 15:1-10) (Luke 19:9-10) (1 Peter 2:25) (2 Peter 3:8-9).

God has to save you because…

4. We have a sinful nature, and our hearts are deceitful and desperately wicked.

We sin against God daily. The sinful nature is never eradicated in this life. The bible is clear that our hearts are deceitful and desperately wicked, and this is very true. So true that without the leading of God’s Holy Spirit we would choose the sinful path every time. And why would we choose the sinful path every time one may ask? It’s because we have a sinful nature. This is just yet another reason why you cannot save yourself and why God himself in His Great Mercy must save you through Christ or you will surely perish because of your many sins. Read (Jeremiah 17:9) (Luke 18:9-14).

God has to save you because…

5. We are all dead in our trespasses and sins.

Because this is true that we are all spiritually dead in our trespasses and sins, this means now God himself must be the One to quicken us make us alive in Christ. We cannot give ourselves new life. This is God’s territory. God himself must be the One who give us this quickening new life. And Praises be to our God and Father who gives us this quickening new life through His Son Jesus. Read (Ephesians 2:1-10) (Ephesians 5:14) (Romans 7:14-25).

God has to save you because…

6. We are spiritually blind and have a spiritual veil over our eyes before we come to Christ.

How is this spiritual veil removed one may ask? The bible tells us the answer and it is by believing in Christ. The bible tells us that whenever someone turns to the Lord, the spiritual veil is taken away. Read (2 Corinthians 3:12-18).

2 Corinthians 3:12-18 (NLT)

12 Since this new way gives us such confidence, we can be very bold. 13 We are not like Moses, who put a veil over his face so the people of Israel would not see the glory, even though it was destined to fade away. 14 But the people’s minds were hardened, and to this day whenever the old covenant is being read, the same veil covers their minds so they cannot understand the truth. And this veil can be removed only by believing in Christ. 15 Yes, even today when they read Moses’ writings, their hearts are covered with that veil, and they do not understand. 16 But whenever someone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. 17 For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. 18 So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord—who is the Spirit—makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image.

God has to save you because…

7. You must be born again and born of The Spirit of God to enter the kingdom of God.

This is something you cannot do yourself. You wouldn’t even know where to begin. Being born again is a supernatural miracle of God. Again, this is God’s territory. Being born of The Spirit is something only The Spirit of God can do in the believer’s life. Read (John 3:3-8) (John 1:12-13) (1 John 3:1-2) (1 John 5:1) (1 Peter 1:23) (Titus 3:5) (2 Corinthians 5:17). The Bible so clearly teaches that once a person believes On The Son, by placing their faith in Jesus Christ as Savior they are instantaneously forgiven of all sin and declared righteous by God (Mark 1:15) (Acts 20:21) (Acts 13:38-39) (Romans 3:28) (Romans 4:3) (Romans 5:1) (Romans 10:10) (Galatians 2:16) (Galatians 3:24). God then gives them His Spirit (The Holy Spirit) and seals them unto the day of redemption with His Holy Seal (Galatians 3,2) (Ephesians 1:12-14) (1 Corinthians 6:11, 19) (Ephesians 4:30).Then their names are written in the Lamb's book of life (Luke 10:20) (Revelation 3:5), and thus they are saved eternally by the grace of God (Ephesians 2:8-10) and can never lose their eternal salvation (John 10:28) (Romans 10:13) (1 John 5:11-13). So, to make it plain when you genuinely repent of your sins and believe in Jesus by faith you will be born again (born of The Spirit) Sealed by The Spirit and become a child of God (John 1:12).

God has to save you because…

8. God will not allow man to give himself glory or credit for his own salvation.

This simply means God will not allow any man to glory/boast about his own goodness or good works before Him in his Holy presence (1 Corinthians 1:29-31). You cannot glory in yourself before God. You see, you cannot stand before God and tell him how good and righteous you are! You will be standing before the most holy, the most pure and righteous person there is in all of existence. You will be standing before pure perfection, pure holiness, pure righteousness, pure light, pure holy love, pure majesty, The Creator of all things. So, you see, you cannot stand before this Almighty being who is so perfectly blessed in all His ways and tell him how righteous and good you are! It is illegal and will not be allowed.

The Holy Spirit told me “Works is man’s way of glorifying himself before God, but the gospel is God’s way of glorifying Himself through His Son Jesus.” Read (Psalm 34:2) (Luke 18:9-14) (Ephesians 2:8-9) (Philippians 2:9-11) (Philippians 3:3) (1 Corinthians 1:29-31) (Galatians 6:14) (Romans 3:27-28) (Jeremiah 9:23-26).

Psalm 34:2 (NLT)

I will boast only in the LORD; let all who are helpless take heart.

Luke 18:9-14 (NLT)

Parable of the Pharisee and Tax Collector

9 Then Jesus told this story to some who had great confidence in their own righteousness and scorned everyone else: 10 “Two men went to the Temple to pray. One was a Pharisee, and the other was a despised tax collector. 11 The Pharisee stood by himself and prayed this prayer[b]: ‘I thank you, God, that I am not like other people—cheaters, sinners, adulterers. I’m certainly not like that tax collector! 12 I fast twice a week, and I give you a tenth of my income.’ 13 “But the tax collector stood at a distance and dared not even lift his eyes to heaven as he prayed. Instead, he beat his chest in sorrow, saying, ‘O God, be merciful to me, for I am a sinner.’ 14 I tell you, this sinner, not the Pharisee, returned home justified before God. For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.”

Ephesians 2:8-9 (NLT)

God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it.

Philippians 2:9-11 (KJV)

Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Philippians 3:7-9 (NLT)

I once thought these things were valuable, but now I consider them worthless because of what Christ has done. Yes, everything else is worthless when compared with the infinite value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have discarded everything else, counting it all as garbage, so that I could gain Christ and become one with him. I no longer count on my own righteousness through obeying the law; rather, I become righteous through faith in Christ. For God’s way of making us right with himself depends on faith.

1 Corinthians 1:29-31 (NLT)

As a result, no one can ever boast in the presence of God. God has united you with Christ Jesus. For our benefit God made him to be wisdom itself. Christ made us right with God; he made us pure and holy, and he freed us from sin. Therefore, as the Scriptures say, “If you want to boast, boast only about the Lord.”

God has to save you because…

9. You are not going to your heaven you’re going to His.

Therefore, only he can tell you a sinner what it takes to be qualified to get there. You cannot make up your own way on how to get to heaven either. This is because you’re not going to yours, you’re going to His. This means God himself must tell you and show you how to get there in His Word otherwise you would never get there. So, remember you’re not going to your heaven you’re going to his. And thanks be to God he tells us how to get there in His Word! And it is through the person of His Son Jesus Christ. He Jesus is The Door and Gate (John 10:9) yes, He Jesus is The Savior of the World (John 4:42) (1 John 4:14). Anyone who believes in Him will be saved Everlasting by a loving, gracious, forgiving and merciful God (John 3:16) (John 11:25) (Acts 10:43) (Acts 13:38) (1 John 5:11-13). For Heaven Scriptures Read (John 14:1-3, 6) (John 3:3-7).

God has to save you because…

10. You cannot reconcile yourself to God. He is The One Reconciling you to himself.

You cannot reconcile yourself to God and this is because you are the one who has offended him with your many sins and lawbreaking. God is the one who must show you now how to be forgiven by Him. God is the one who must show you how to be reconciled to Him. And the bible tells us that we are reconciled to God when we repent of our sins sincerely and believe in His Son Jesus. The bible says God was in Christ reconciling the world to himself. This is an amazing revelation of The Spirit of God. Read (Romans 5:10) (2 Corinthians 5:18-20) (Ephesians 2:16) (Colossians 1:19-22) (1 Timothy 2:4-6).

2 Corinthians 5:18-20 (NLT)

18 And all of this is a gift from God, who brought us back to himself through Christ. And God has given us this task of reconciling people to him. 19 For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people’s sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation. 20 So we are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, “Come back to God!”

Colossians 1:19—22 (NLT)

For God in all his fullness was pleased to live in Christ, 20 and through him God reconciled everything to himself. He made peace with everything in heaven and on earth by means of Christ’s blood on the cross. 21 This includes you who were once far away from God. You were his enemies, separated from him by your evil thoughts and actions. 22 Yet now he has reconciled you to himself through the death of Christ in his physical body. As a result, he has brought you into his own presence, and you are holy and blameless as you stand before him without a single fault.

1 Timothy 2:4-6 (NLT)

4 who wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth. 5 For, There is one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and humanity—the man Christ Jesus. 6 He gave his life to purchase freedom for everyone.

God has to save you because…

11. You were enslaved to sin, in bondage to sin, and held captive by Satan.

Christ our liberator and Savior breaks us free from our bondage and enslavement to sin. He frees us from our Captor Satan who kept us bound in darkness and in bondage. Read (Luke 13:16) (John 8:32-36) (Romans 6:6, 16-22) (Romans 7:14, 23-25) (Ephesians 2:1-10).

God has to save you because…

12. You are hopeless, helpless, and guilty without Christ.

Did you know that because of your sinful nature you are powerless and cannot save yourself from your own sinful condition? Read (Romans 8:3). The bible says you are Hopeless (Ephesians 2:12), Helpless (Matthew 9:36) (Romans 5:6-10), and Guilty (Romans 3:9-20, 23).

Because this is indeed true that we are hopeless, helpless, and guilty, we now need The Good and Great Shephard (Jesus) who leads us home to God Our Heavenly Father. Read (John 10:3-28) (John 14:6) (Hebrews 13:20) (1 Peter 5:4).

God has to save you because…

13. The sacrifice offered for your sin must be sinless, perfect, blameless, and without a single fault.

We are not sinless, perfect, blameless, and without a single fault. We sin every day, because of sin we in it of ourselves are impure and imperfect, we are not blameless of sin and we most assuredly have many faults. All these truths disqualify us from being able to save ourselves and disqualify us from being able to stand in the Holy presence of God without fault. However, the Good News that God teaches us in the bible is that He has made a way through Jesus His Son for us to be forgiven of all our sins. Yes, He has made a way that we can stand before Him in His Holy Presence, totally forgiven of all sin and blameless in His God’s sight. All those who trust in Jesus His Son to be their Savior will be forgiven of all their sins and will be granted eternal life. Those who believe that Jesus died on the cross shedding his blood for their sins are the only ones will stand before the living God totally forgiven of all sin, blameless, and without a single fault (Colossians 1:22). The only acceptable sacrifice for our sins that God will accept from us is the sacrifice of His Son Jesus on that cross (Romans 5:11). No good works or good deeds apart from the finished work of Christ on that cross will be accepted by God. If we trust and place our faith in the sinless Lamb of God and in the sacrifice, He made for us on that cross then and only then will all our sins be forgiven and taken away forever by a Holy God. People of the world Jesus himself (His physical body that is) is the offering for our sins (Hebrews 7:27) (Ephesians 2:15-18). He Jesus is the only one is sinless, perfect, blameless, and without a single fault (2 Corinthians 5:21) (John 19:4) (1 Peter 1:18-19) (1 Peter 2:22) (Isaiah 53:9) (Luke 1:35) (1 John 3:5) (Hebrews 4:15) (Hebrews 7:26). Thus, therefore He is the only one who is qualified to be our sin offering, sin bearer, Savior and sacrificial lamb.

People of the world Jesus came to the earth for this very reason. Yes, Jesus came to the earth to be our sin offering, to be our sin bearer, to be our Savior, and to be our sacrificial Lamb.

Jesus came to the earth to be the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world (John 1:29-36). Yes, He (Jesus) came to be the atoning sacrifice for our sins (1 John 4:10). But not only for our sins but for the sins of the whole world (1 John 2:2). Yes, to all those who will receive him (Jesus) as the Son of God will become instantaneously and eternally the children of God. Everyone is a creation of God, but not everyone is a child of God. You only become a child of God when you sincerely receive and believe in God's Son the Lord Jesus Christ (John 1:12). You only become a child of God when you believe in the sacrificial Lamb who died on the cross for your sins. The sacrificial Lamb is Jesus Christ himself. Yes, He (Jesus) is indeed the one whom God has sent into the world to forgive us and to save us from our sins. Jesus is the Lamb of God (1 Peter 1:18-19) and He (Jesus) is the Lord our God. Read (Luke 24:47) (John 1:29-36) (John 3:16-18) (John 4:42) (John 5:24) (John 6:28-29) (John 17:3) (John 20:31) (Acts 4:12) (Acts 10:43) (Acts 13:38) (Romans 3:19-31) (Romans 6:23) (Romans 10:9) (Hebrews 7:27) (1 Peter 3:18) (1 John 2:2) (1 John 4:14) (Revelation 1:6).

2 Corinthians 5:21 (NLT)

21 For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.

God has to save you because…

14. We are spiritually naked before we come to Christ. This means we do not have on the right spiritual attire which is Christ Himself.

If righteousness were clothing that we wore, the bible says all our righteousness is as filthy rags (Isaiah 64:6). You see our good deeds, our righteousness, and all our good works are not good enough to make it into heaven. The bible tells us we are saved by our repentance and faith in Christ apart from works. The bible says we are saved by grace through faith so that no man can boast (Ephesians 2:8-9). The bible tells us to Rely on what Christ Jesus has done for us. Yes, to believe in the finished work of Christ on that cross. The bible tells us to put no confidence in human effort (Philippians 3:3).

Remember all our righteousness before we come to Christ is as filthy rags. Therefore, we need to be clothed with the righteousness that comes from God. So, what is this revelation that I’m speaking of one may ask? What is the righteousness that comes from God? The righteousness that comes from God is Christ Jesus himself (1 Corinthians 1:30) (Romans 3:22) (Romans 5:17) (Philippians 3:9). Anyone who repents of their sin and places their faith in Him will be declared righteous by God and will be clothed with His righteousness. Read (Acts 13:38-39) (Romans 3:28) (Romans 4:3) (Romans 5:1) (Romans 10:10) (Galatians 2:16) (Galatians 3:24).

The bible tells us to put on Christ (Galatians 3:27), the bible goes on to say to put on the whole armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18). You see after we get saved there are things God wants us to put on. We are to put on Christ first and foremost (this occurs at the moment of salvation), then we need to put on the whole armor of God, then we need to clothe ourselves we need to put on humility, tenderhearted mercy, kindness, gentleness, and patience (Colossians 3:12). If you stand before God on judgement day without the right spiritual attire on (Which is Christ himself) you will feel ashamed like Adam did after he sinned and like the guest at the wedding who was not properly dressed (Genesis 3:7) (Matthew 22:11-13).

Galatians 3:27 (NLT)

And all who have been united with Christ in baptism have put on Christ, like putting on new clothes.

Colossians 3:12 (NLT)

Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.

God has to save you because…

15. He Jesus is the author and finisher of our faith.

He begins it, He maintains and sustains us, and he completes it. If you are a believer in Christ, He will see to it that we make it home to the finish line which is God our heavenly Father in heaven (Hebrews 12:2).

Since Jesus is the author and finisher of our faith, this means you are not the author of your faith nor are you the finisher. You don’t even maintain or sustain your own salvation. Salvation is a total work of God. God initiated the plan of salvation way before you were even born. God initiated the plan of salvation way before you even had a clue who Jesus was. God initiated the plan of salvation before the foundation of the world read the whole chapter of (Ephesians 2). He carried out his plan by sending His Son Jesus into the world to be man’s Savior and redeemer (John 3:16-18) (John 4:42) (1 John 4:14) (Acts 4:12). The sinless Son of God Jesus Christ went to the cross and died on the cross for guilty sinners. The just died for the unjust, yes Christ the righteous died for the unrighteous and the ungodly (Romans 5:6-11).

Salvation is a miracle of God, and it’s a total work of God. This means it’s a total work of God from the start, to the middle, and to its completion.

Jesus did all the work for us on the cross so therefore He gets all the glory and credit for our salvation. Your salvation is about you trusting in The finished work of Jesus Christ. This is just yet another reason why you cannot save yourself from your own sinful condition and this is because you are not the author and finisher of your faith the bible says Jesus is.

This also is another reason why its impossible for a believer in Jesus Christ to lose his or her eternal salvation. Its impossible because Jesus (The Eternal Son of God) is the author and finisher of the believer’s faith. He Himself will see to it that every believer that every child of His makes it Home to God his Heavenly Father and receives eternal life (John 3:14-18, 36) (John 4:14) (John 5:24) (John 6:40, 47) (John 10:28-29) (John 17:2) (Titus 1:2) (1 John 2:25) (1 John 5:11-13).

God has to save you because…

16. You have no idea the price it cost to take away each one of your sins.

Do you not realize that every sin is an eternal crime that takes an eternity to pay the time? Do you not realize that you are guilty of eternal sins? Thus, therefore only an eternal God can forgive you. This is bigger than you and much bigger than you realize. The only way you can be saved is if God in his grace and mercy decides to forgive you through his Eternal Son of God Jesus Christ. Praise be to The God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ that God graciously saves and forgives all those who will place their faith in Jesus His Son. Yes, God chose (He decided that is) to show us His grace and mercy in the person of Christ.

No human being on earth can accurately and honestly say how many times they have sinned? If I were to ask you how many times have you sinned in your life what would you say? Would it be accurate? No, it would not. How could you possibly know? You can’t It’s impossible!

Even if you did know the actual number what can you do about it now? What can you do about those sins you committed in your past? Can you go back and undo them and take them back? No, you can’t. What about the many sins you committed that you honestly weren’t even aware of? Did you know that we sin against God constantly knowingly and unknowingly? Do you see what I mean now? If God doesn’t choose to forgive us in Christ, we would never be forgiven of our sins and we all would spend a justly price in an eternal hell.

Romans 6:23 (NLT)

For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.

Therefore, The Good and Great Shepherd of our souls (Jesus Christ) came down from heaven to save us. He came down to save us because we are hopelessly lost without him and we are most assuredly incapable of saving ourselves from our own lost sinful condition. Jesus who is the sinners Savior came to our rescue and I’m so glad and thankful that He did. Jesus is most worthy of praise for Who He is and for all He has done for us guilty sinners there on that cross. No amount of words can thank him enough. If I had 10 thousand tongues to praise Him, it wouldn’t be enough for all He has done for us guilty sinners. People of the world join with me and Praise The Lord Jesus. He is worthy of all our worship, adoration and praise. Yes, Glory be to The Holy Lamb of God who sits enthroned at The right hand of God The Father in heaven (Revelation 5:5-14) (Colossians 3:1) (Ephesians 1:20-23) (Hebrews 1:3) (Hebrews 8:1) (Hebrews 10:12) (Hebrews 12:2).

So, to recap everything: Here below are the reasons why God himself has to save us.

God has to save us because…

-We have no righteousness of our own.

-We are all sinful lawbreakers who are already condemned before we come to Jesus.

-We were enemies of God.

-We were separated from Him.

-The wrath of God abides over us.

-We are lost and are in spiritual darkness.

-We have a sinful nature, and our hearts are deceitful and desperately wicked.

-We are spiritually dead in our trespasses and sins.

-We were spiritually blind.

-We must be born again, born of The Spirit of God to enter the kingdom of God.

-God will not allow man to give himself glory or credit for his own salvation.

-You are not going to your heaven you’re going to His.

-You cannot reconcile yourself to God. He is The One Reconciling you to himself.

-We were enslaved to sin, in bondage to sin, and held captive by Satan.

-You are hopeless, helpless, and guilty without Christ.

-The sacrifice offered for your sin must be sinless, perfect, and blameless.

-We are spiritually naked before we come to Christ.

-He Jesus is the author and finisher of our faith.

-You have no idea the price it cost to take away each one of your sins.
